About

Jenn Cuneta moved to U.S. from the Philippines at a very young age, and has been performing professionally ever since.

Her voice is ready-made for pop music and the buoyant single ‘Come Rain Come Shine’ (in which Sir Paul McCartney shares a songwriting credit) is the perfect vehicle for Cuneta – a bubbly, sunny Top 40 dance single.

With her veteran producers, Andy & The Lamboy, Cuneta has crafted a classic disco sound on a string of hit singles in the clubs and on the radio starting with house records ‘What you do’ and ‘Do it for me’ on Strictly Rhythm Records, ‘Music is my Life’ with Planet Soul on Strictly as well, ‘Spirit of Man’ on Jellybean Records (that also appeared on the ‘Get Carter’ soundtrack), and ‘Now We Are Free’ -(theme from Gladiator)on Tommy Boy Records.

I was awestruck by the amazing performance of Jenn Cuneta. She sounded flawless, connected with the crowd and took the song to a new level.”

Born in the Philippines, Jenn moved to the U.S. at a very young age. Jenn performed, competed and won numerous talent contests as a kid. She was set to appear on Star Search until her Dad, concerned about her schoolwork, forbid Jenn from continuing.

In her native Philippines, Jenn was discovered with her records in full rotation in Saudi Arabia by a Filipino head of A&R and proposed to bring her home in her native land to release an album on Star Records – ABS-CBN. Her single and video of ‘Chip On My Shoulder’ from that album can be seen on the Philippine-American TV channel, ABS-CBN and was nominated for Best Video of that Year on MTV Philippine.

Jenn has an incredible love for fashion and has incorporated that into her work. Jenn has held jobs with the fashion houses such as Armani and Ferragamo in New York.

Signed to America’s top dance label, Ultra Records, with an album in the Philippines up her sleeve amongst US dance club and radio hits, Jenn was about to crossover in a Big Way.

Positiva, UK label, has consistently looked far and wide for those standout dancefloor anthems. There have never been any boundaries when it comes to the huge crossover smashes that it’s made its own- from Deep Dish to Paul Van Dyk- variety is something Positiva holds dear. Once again, the label has looked across the pond to the Big Apple, to an artist who’s travelled a long way herself.

‘Come Rain, Come Shine’ represents the first time that Paul McCartney has allowed a song of his (‘Silly Love Songs’) to be sampled for the dance-pop genre marketplace. Jenn’s producers, Andy & the Lamboy, proudly share a co-writing credit with Sir Paul on this track. Followed up by another track “Let Me Take You Away”.

Jenn returned with, “I Want That Man”, release in summer 2009. Written and released under a US Dance Label “Bill Friar Entertainment.” She performed this at Pride events and dance clubs to promote the song. Jenn’s subsequent singles such as “Fifth Day” and interpretations of “O Holy Night” and “Nothing Compares 2 U” were all signed under Bill Friar Entertainment which opened up doors for her to work with US Based DJ’s and Producers in the club dance genre Nationwide.

In 2014, Cuneta worked again with Frank Lamboy from ‘Andy and the Lamboy’ and signed with 7 Stars, Holland label, for her song “Tonight’s your Night.” 2018, Jenn recorded and released another song written by Prince as signed and agreed with the label for Bill Friar, “The Glamorous Life.” Also in 2018, Frank Lamboy had her signed with Azume Records in Europe for another original release “Quiero tu Amor,” now with house and tribal beats when this same original was signed under Bianco y Negro as a chill out record in Ibiza a decade prior. In 2019, Lamboy and Cuneta collaborated again and placed a new original on the danceclub rotation in Europe and signed this as a single AND for compilations, a new hit “Eternal Love”.

2018, Jenn brought home the award for Best Female Pop Vocalist of the World representing the US against 88 countries for the Musical Olympics – WCOPA – World Championship of Performing Arts.

In 2019 Cuneta performed to inspire new countries for the competition at the Opening Night Ceremonies for the Music Olympics at Long Beach Performing Arts Center AND did an impromptu performance collaboration song written and performed by and with D Minor, a famed rapper from Australia. They repeated this performance for the WishBus Radio in LA. No set date yet for release as D Minor takes his place in Australia’s Got Talent that year.

In 2020, Jenn received a proposal to be one of the judges for the Music Olympics to be held in Disneyland and was commissioned to perform as well. Due to the Covid Pandemic, this is now set for 2021.

Born into a family of artistic background from both sides, Jenn has been singing since she was 5. At age 14, awarded Undefeated Champion in Los Angeles for winning 6 consecutive weeks for Hamon sa Kampeon USA. Drafted for Kids of America by Ed McMahon headed to Star Search, Jenn’s dad did not want the music path for her and sent her to live in New York instead. This, however, did not stop her from her passion. Her grandmother assumed responsibility and promised she would not only learn music, but ace it ! Jenn’s story is one that inspires many with simple gestures such as “when mom says no, grandma says yes.”

Since then, Jenn has held lead roles for school musicals, graduating with a Piano and Vocal Expertise as well as an Accounting Major up her sleeve. Shortly thereafter, Jenn was discovered by Steven Kurtz. Formerly Cristina Aguilera’s manager. He managed both careers simultaneously and has placed Jenn in various labels with record deals, both in the US and internationally. A career in record making spanning from 2000-2005 earning chart toppers, one after another, and finally placing her HIT SONG with Sir Paul McCartney “COME RAIN COME SHINE,” earning her Sirius Satellites award of “Dance Artist of the Year” in 2005.
